Tenants and HDFC residents stand together to demand protections

Housing Justice for AllUHAB is working to ensure protections for homeowners and renters alike with the Housing Justice for All Coalition. On the HDFC side, we're advocating for financial support for HDFCs in this uncertain time, as well as a freeze to utilities and mortgages.

On the tenant side, we're supporting the coalition's demands to house homeless New Yorkers and bring relief to tenants in the form of a rent suspension. Rent suspension would not apply to maintenance fees for shareholders in HDFCs.

We hope to have these demands granted before May 1st to benefit both HDFC shareholders and tenants. Learn more and support this statewide movement by signing the petition here!
